01 — Our Story

A creek runs through it.

Glen Arm sits where a branch of the Gunpowder Falls cuts through Baltimore County farmland — the kind of place where the water still runs clean enough to want to put your hands in it. That's more or less how this company started: a kitchen stove, a thrifted soap mold, and a stubborn belief that soap didn't need to be complicated to work well.

What began as bars for neighbors and the farmers' market table turned into a proper small workshop. We still cure every batch the old way — on wooden racks, for four to six weeks, until the bar is hard, mild, and ready to work into a real lather.
